End Abuse in Porn campaign

Help me end abuse in pornography. I am an active porn producer with a ten-year career. I have even won awards. I do not have an axe to grind against the porn industry. But even I admit that we have a big problem with abusive content. Currently, commercial porn contains portrayals of non-consensual sexual activities and violence against women. I’m convinced this is responsible for the huge increase in rape and sexual violence in the USA and UK.

During my career, I’ve always been defensive when I heard criticism of the porn industry. I always wanted it to be treated the same way as any adults-only video game or Hollywood movie.

I used that to say that we do not need any special rules regulating the porn industry. Even if I was privately disgusted by the sexual violence and depictions of rape, forced sex and abuse on display in the content being put out by some of my rivals.

But I realise now that I was lying to myself. Sex is special. It’s the primary driver of human relationships.

It’s still a taboo topic for many people, and for that reason, it needs sensitive treatment when it appears in media.

The problem

Pornographic content was regulated by national and regional obscenity laws and censorship regimes. But the move the online porn made that impossible. Over time porn became more and more extreme, with almost no limits on what kind of porn could be produced.

Some companies specialise in abusive content. They make videos that appear non-consensual or show sexual violence against women. It’s easy to dismiss it as entertainment and say that people know it’s not real. But most people do not receive good sex education – for various cultural and political reasons – with 20% receiving no formal sex education.

That means a huge number of people are learning about sex from porn. It’s no coincidence that the number of rape offences is increasing in the USA and UK as watching porn became more mainstream.

The offenders

The overwhelming majority of companies in the porn industry have good people producing ethical content. This is not an attack on the porn industry. But the following porn websites routinely depict non-consensual acts and violence against women in their productions. The videos are too graphic and disturbing to be shown on this site, and if you are triggered by sexual violence, please do not click the links.

Pierre Woodman

Woodman is an independent French porn producer based in Budapest, Hungary. He owns WoodmanCastingsx.com and wakeupnfuck.com.

Both sites routinely serve up abusive porn featuring non-consensual activities and sexual violence. To see just how extreme it can be, check the Twitter thread below from my podcast.

Rocco Siffredi

Siffredi is an Italian porn producer and celebrity that made a name for himself with his depictions of extreme sex. Siffredi’s public image is as a Casanova figure, and very few people look too closely at his porn content. If they did, they would find many videos showing non-consensual activities and sexual violence.

Siffredi’s porn is distributed by two of the biggest North American porn companies, Gamma Entertainment and Evil Angel.

To see how alarming Siffredi’s content can be please check the links below.

Facial Abuse & Other productions coming soon

I will add more companies here when I have time to create Twitter threads explaining why they are wrong. I am currently adding more information on Pierre Woodman’s productions, then I will start work on FacialAbuse.com. If you would like to submit a site for inclusion, please contact me.

The solution

In response to non-consensual pornographic content hosted on PornHub, payment networks Visa and Mastercard banned PornHub from their services. They also introduced new rules insisting all porn content must be consensual to process payments on their network.

All that needs to happen to End Abuse in Porn is for Visa and Mastercard to enforce their own rules.

I’m calling on Visa and Mastercard to remove payments from all porn sites that depict non-consensual and sexually violent sex.

I use the same payment processors as Woodman and Siffredi, and they told me I could not have non-consensual content on my site even if the actors consent. All I want is for these rules to be enforced across the entire porn industry.

At its best porn is one of the most thrilling art forms. It can teach you new ideas, provide comfort when you’re lonely, enhance your sex life and even benefit your relationship. But it really shouldn’t be promoting rape and sexual violence just to make some money.

How you can help

I don’t need your money or funding to End Abuse in Porn. I need you to take part. Visa and Mastercard have rules against consent already, and so do all their acquiring banks.

I need you to contact the banks and payment networks and report what’s happening. For each producer making non-consensual or abusive content, I will include links of people you can contact to stop it. If enough of us step up, we can stop it together.

Stop Pierre Woodman

Woodman uses two third-party payment providers. Epoch and CCBill so please write to them in addition to Visa and Mastercard. None of these companies has a form, contact or page for reporting non-consensual or abusive content. Here are contacts and an email template:

Visa: They don’t have any contact for reporting. I tried their media contact: press@visa.com

Mastercard: They also don’t have a reporting process but their press team accepted my complaint. They are: Seth.Eisen@mastercard.com Katie.Priebe@mastercard.com Alisdair.Haythornthwaite@mastercard.com Jennifer.Erickson@mastercard.com Will.O’Connor@mastercard.com

Epoch: riskmanagement@epoch.com

CCBill: risk@ccbill.com

Email Template:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am disgusted to see your company processing payments for non-consensual and abusive pornographic content available on WoodmanCastingsX.com and Wakeupnfuck.com.

Example here: https://twitter.com/AskLustCast/status/1618833274469769217?s=20&t=UvyAZ8rHPbwbmeRWyv1yQw

My understanding is that non-consensual pornographic content is not allowed. Please could you enforce your rules and stop accepting payments on these sites? Non-consensual and abusive porn content promotes rape and sexual violence against women.

Yours sincerely,
